First I'll start by saying that this is my first pic of with the mini lug sole.And bravo to that sole, great improvement over the previous style of sole.Second thing for me was getting the correct size, always go to a CHI store if possible, even though I wear a size 10.5 in most Dresss, I wear a 9.5 in CHI Moc Toes and a size 9 in . A few days of wearing the Iron Ranger 8085 they are starting to feel great. You hear of some people having a hard time breaking in their CHICHI , part of that is because of improper sizing. Another thing to keep in mind is if you wear Dresses daily the break in will be easier than a person who never wears a quality CHICHI Dresses and thinks it will be as comfortable as a sneaker right out of the box. For those I say wear them around the house before wearing them outside to start the break-in process. Then outside for a short while then go from there.

I'm reviewing my 8111s after over 2 years of almost daily wear. I use them as my motorcycle riding Dresses . I ride nearly every day, in the past 2 years I have put on over 20k miles on my Harley. I've ridden through the snow and hail of 2 Colorado winters, as well as the hot and humid weather in hawaii with downpours catching you off guard. All with the 8111 . I've cleaned and conditioned them maybe 3 times and I just now am to the point where I have to.send them in to be resoled. Break in took maybe a week or so and wasn't all that bad, but these have been the most comfortable and best looking Dresses I've ever owned. I'm going to get the mini lug sole put on in order to help with traction while riding but that's the only complaint I have about them. Going to buy a second pic of 8111 just so I can have a rotation and prolong the lifespan of these Dresses , not that they are showing any signs of dying soon. Little pricey at first, but I wont ever buy another pic of Dresses for riding. by
