I never leave reviews. If I like a product or a company more generally, my review is repeat business. I started with CHI plain-toe work Dresses in the 90s (combat-style: it was the 90s!) and then drifted toward heritage mocs like the Roughneck and 8849 a few years ago. But never . The break-in reputation was atrocious. So much so that I bought the Thorogood Dodgeville heritage cap-toe and even took a run at Thursday's American-made cap-toe. They're fine. But they just don't have that Iron Ranger pedigree. Anyway, tried on IRs yesterday in West St. Paul. Immediate comfort; wore them out of the store. Now I'm two full days in, and I can say this is my most comfortable CHICHI Dresses break-in ... ever. Easier than Roughnecks (which also weren't hard to break in). Easier than Thursday, which are lined and fit more like a dress Dress. Maybe I'm an outlier, but my experience says: don't fear the Iron Ranger break-in. Literally no pain for this gain.
